The latest digital technology, means for the first time listening to digital radio on the move is free of annoying breaks and distortion. Clever technology will even switch from digital to FM (and back again) if there is a local signal problem.

Kenwood's DAB-A1 DAB aerial is required with the KDC-DAB4551U DAB/CD Receiver. This is a discrete window film aerial avoiding the need to drill a hole in the vehicles body as previously required with less sensitive receivers.

iPod/iPhone Music Playback
Enjoy in-car entertainment from your iPod or iPhone music collection. Connect your white Apple USB lead or Kenwood's KCA-iP102 interface lead which is designed for the hard temperatures of a car environment to the front input. What’s more, you also get display of your Playlist, Genre, Artist and Album Names on the head unit for greater convenience and it even charges your iPod/iPhone.
With Kenwood's iPod/iPhone Control By Hand mode, you have the option to control from the iPod/iPhone itself rather then from the head unit. (Do not operate your iPod/iPhone while driving)
USB Music Connection
Portable memory devices make it possible to create and store compilations of your favourite music and bring them into the car for easy connection and playback via the USB (Universal Serial Bus).
They can even display tag information, provided the files are not protected by DRM (Digital Rights Management).
Kenwood Music Editor Lite
Kenwood's Music Editor Lite which comes with this head unit allows you to readily create a music file database from the music files stored in the USB device using a drag-and-drop or copy-and-paste technique. If you create a music file database using Kenwood Music Editor Lite, you can search for a music file by genre/artist/album/song on your Kenwood car system.
